Meet Tebogo Motaung; AFDA Business Innovation & Entrepreneurship Programme Co-Ordinator

AFDA Johannesburg Business Innovation & Entrepreneurship Programme Co-Ordinator Tebogo Motaung is an experienced higher education professional with vast history of working as a student advisory officer, curriculum counsellor and manager who is skilled in Operational Planning, Administration, Corporate Communications, Fashion Design, and Motivational Speaking.

Tebogo earned an undergraduate degree in Corporate Communications, an Honours in Public Management and Governance, a Postgraduate Diploma in Labour Law and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Johannesburg.

As the AFDA Johannesburg Business Innovation & Entrepreneurship Programme Co-Ordinator, Tebogo is focused on grooming BCom students into knowledgeable, digitally savvy and reputable future business leaders. She has developed a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by students and faculty members and possesses an ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. She also plays an instrumental role in developing programs and initiatives that promote academic excellence, student success and faculty development.

“One thing I’ve learnt is that there is always one more thing to learn and an opportunity for growth and self betterment. The most important thing is using knowledge acquired to make a positive impact in the environment you are placed in.  I have been blessed and privileged to be placed to be in such a purposeful and wonderful environment at AFDA” says Tebogo.

Outside her role at AFDA, Tebogo, is the founder of tebbie M creations, a fashion company that specialises in unique, customised designs. With her passion for fashion an ability to combine her creative talents with her entrepreneurial skills she has built a successful business.

Tebogo is also currently part of a Doctoral Study from the University of Portsmouth and the Johannesburg Business School on women who have run their businesses for more than three years. The purpose of the study is to assess Entrepreneurial Leadership Competencies in SMEs in South Africa.
